Every two years, the ISU organises an International Congress for 3D enthusiasts and professionals. The ISU congress is typically a one week event with around 450 to 550 participants. During the congress there are many 3D projections (analogue and digital slide- and multimedia shows), trading-tables, exhibitions, workshops and excursions and it is the ultimate way to meet friends and other 3D enthusiasts from all over the world. The 2009 congress will be in Gmunden on Lake Traun in Austria, September 9th through 14th. See http://www.isu-congress-2009-gmunden.eu for details. The 2011 congress will be at the Hotel Zuiderduin in Egmond aan Zee (north-west of Amsterdam at the coast) from August 17th to 23rd.
